Stanard’s report package contains all the information necessary to easily interpret your survey responses. The report package starts broad and then provides successive levels of detail to satisfy the interest of any manager. We pride ourselves on providing some of the clearest and most interpretable survey results in the business. A report is comprised of the following components.

  • The Report at a Glance provides an overall sense of how a particular group scored.
  • The Category Rank Report provides results for all categories and ranks them from least to most favorable.
  • The Category Report compares a group’s scores on each survey category to one or a number of referent groups (i.e., total company results or norms).
  • The Detailed Report provides responses to each item in the survey.
  • The Most Favorable and Most Unfavorable item reports allow you to get a quick idea of strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • A Comment Report provides typed comments sorted by survey category and any other important company demographic (i.e., department), as well as a table indicating the number of comments received on each topic.

Laser-printed black and white paper reports are typically provided, but we have the capability to provide color reports and electronic copies of the reports using Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 (a common program used for reading electronically published documents).Survey feedback meetings are usually conducted for all groups participating in the survey effort. Typically, these meetings closely resemble the executive feedback presentation but are specific to individual subgroups. Feedback and clarification meetings provide an opportunity to send a consistent message about the findings of the employee opinion survey and send a tangible message to employees that management is acting on the data. These meetings also serve as a precursor to action planning sessions by encouraging participants to think about their respective work groups and possible avenues for improvement. Most importantly, conducting the feedback/clarification meeting in an open and honest manner builds trust between employees and management by demonstrating a willingness to share important information. While giving survey feedback, employees may have comments or reactions to the results. This input can be useful for clarifying the results. Once employees have received results for their group, they should be given them a few days to consider the results and the potential actions that can be taken to improve in developmental areas. Then, the group is ready for action planning. It is important to keep in mind that if an organization has taken the time to conduct the survey, it should also devote the time to properly use the survey results. Employees will be expecting to hear about the results of the survey and will expect that improvements will be made based on the results.
